It's never too early to start enjoying books! When my kids were...well, little kids...we spent many summer days at the library, and comic books were a favorite reward for good behavior. My oldest son, who is now 31 years old, still enjoys reading comic books!

I want all of the kids at my daycare to also know how much fun reading can be. So at All The Little Children we often cuddle up together with a favorite stuffed animal, blanket, and book. When I ask someone to select a book for our group to read, it's not unusual for them to come back with arms full saying "let's read all of these!"

If you're looking for a good read to share with your little one, check out the 100 Greatest Books for Kids, a list made by Scholastic Parent & Child magazine. With the "interactive bookshelf" on their website you can search for books appropriate for different ages and genres.

Green eggs and ham, anyone?
